Plough is used for primary tillage operations. It cuts trash and buries it completely. it is also used for turning green manure crop for decaying under the soil, which adds humus to the soil. Compost, Farmyard manure or lime when spread in the field, the mould board plough is used for turning and mixing these materials in the soil.
